| Lady Simmons was born Annie Olivia Stewart - her father was Oliver Stewart
of Waterloo House Derry, perhaps a cousin of Sarah Stewart McAskie. Lady Simmons was prominently connected with organisations at 1st Derry Presbyterian Church Annie Olivia's sister was Ella Stewart, her bridesmaid, who was firstly a teacher at a boarding school in England, then a Presbyterian Minister. She lived in Ballycastle Co Antrim. Frederick Simmons 1867-1955 was a partner in Bible & Simmons - firm of accountants in Derry. His father was Robert G Simmons, also an accountant. Frederick's sister Emily who married John Castle (Cassell) McElwee. on 14 Jul 1892 at 1st Derry Presbyterian Church They had 4 children Fred, Vida, Jack & Alfred Gilbert. Jack and Alfred went to USA. Frederick was Lord Mayor of Derry between 1940-1945 - he had a knighthood conferred in 1945. He and Lady Simmons had 16 children I have contact with some descendants.
