Rev Robert Smith was Warden of Kingswood School, Bath, Bristol, England 1820-1843.

Kingswood is the world's oldest Methodist educational establishment
and the only one founded by John Wesley. - in 1748

Kingswood School

Rev Robert married Sarah House. She was the daughter of John and May Bow and was born at Coleford Somerset on 20/02/ 1770 and died at Huddersfield 4 March 1857.

They had two daughters and a son (also Robert). This Robert had a daughter Sophia Mary who married (probably pre 1850) Edward Benjamin Hiley and they possibly lived in London Edward died in 1853, aged 35 and the family moved to Bristol.

Obituary Rev Robert Smith

There is no definite link to Rev Robert Smith, born in Ardstraw, Co Tyrone Ireland.

However they were both Methodist ministers
A Rev Robert withdrew from the Irish Methodist Connexion in 1820
A Rev Robert commenced his wardenship of Kingswood School Bath in 1820
The Irish one was born before 1772 and this one was born 1769
Both Rev Robert's died in 1847
