| James Knox was born Abt. 1730 in Scotland. He married Mary Anderson. He moved to Ireland as a boy - lived
first in Belfast. Later he became a farmer at Belleek the property was named

There were 5 known children:- 1 James farmed at Druminillar Belleek and married Ms Freeborn They had 5 children - a) William1800-90 b) Frances c) Matthew d) Jane e) Robert. a) William 1800-90 became Postmaster & Petty Sessions Clerk & agent for Lough Erne Steam Boat Co - he is buried in Teetunny or Tightunny graveyard Belleek. He married Isabella Knox in 1831 in Belleek - they had 11 children includingJames, born 1832 who married Elizabeth Earls, a teacher born 30/11/1837 and they went to Australia where he became a JP in Victoria. They had 2 known sons - one was Robert Stephen who married Lucy Cogle. Their daughter Dorothy Elizabeth married Thomas Jeffrey and their son John Raymond "Ray" Jeffrey married Betty Watts. Mary Anne who married Samuel Donaldson, from Stranorlar in 1861 Elizabeth b 1835 and Sara Jane b 1842 Robert b 1844 who died fairly young and David b 1850 who died 1917 and Frances b 1847 d 1932. Ulster Covenant Signatures 1912 John b 1837, William b 1838 & Henry Matthew b 1845 - all in Australia - William married Emily Elizabeth Fuller in Donegal first His great grandson Robert was killed in the 1st World War ========================== b) Frances & c) Matthew - nothing known d ) Jane and e) brother Robert went to Canada in 1834 Jane
married Mr Green of Newberg, New York - they had 3 daughters:-
