Our old French farmhouse  - My husband George and I bought an old country cottage in France as a holiday home. We had it for 10 years It was near this English owned Camping Le Moulin - Chef Boutonne . Our "fermette" was in the hamlet of Crézières, in Deux Sèvres, Poitou-Charentes  - one hour inland from La Rochelle. We loved the life. We learnt the language. We made loads of friends. However the responsibility of upkeep from abroad was too great. We sold it in November 2000 and bought a Camper Van

Camping in Europe. We bought a Hymer Camper Van in November 2000 - spent over 3 months in Europe in 2001 and 2002.  We were in France, Germany and Austria in 2001. In 2002 we were in Brittany and Ireland In 2003 we swapped it for a caravan which gives us much more flexibility for getting around. In 2003 we were in Germany and France In 2004 we were in Cotes d'Azur, Provence and Drome. Later we were in Southern Ireland. In 2005 we were in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and France
