Parish Templemore, Donegal, Ireland. He was the son of Samuel (1790-1841) and Nancy
Donaldson - other sources call her Nancy or Hannah. He married Roseanna or
Rose Burns who was born 3 November 1819 in Derry, Donegal, Ireland. Her parents
were John and Jane Burns. They married in Derry, Donegal about 1841. They were
Presbyterians.Derry, Donegal,
Ireland could mean Templemore, Co Donegal as this parish records were kept at Derry
Cathedral.
William and Rose Donaldson emigrated to Australia, in 1841, on the New York Packet. William's sister Mary Donaldson who was born in 1821 went with them on the ship Mary married William Devine (1821-1881) from Derrygurdry, Co Fermanagh on 6 April 1847 in Burrowa, Goulburn, NSW |
