Until July 2000 Sherry came with us to our old farm-house in Ouismes, Crézières, near Chef Boutonne, Deux Sèvres, France. She was the first dog in Scotland to get her passport. In November 2000, we sold our house and bought a camper van

Sherry is a terrier - part Jack Russell, part Scottie.

Here she is with her friend Sally, a black and white Cocker Spaniel, who lives in Mid Calder, West Lothian.

They have been friends for a long time and visit each other regularly. Sherry loves rivers.

At home in West Lothian she swims in the Almond river.

New English owners when we visited in 2008 The campsite caters mostly for UK visitors - we prefer to enjoy the French way of life when camping in France

The restaurant, Les Canards is suited to English tastes. We did not eat there.

Camping Marmotel Saint-Geniez d'Olt, Aveyron, Lot Valley, Central France	Lot	Pitches are hedged and lead directly to the Lot river. Sherry would have been swum all day. Medieval town of Saint-Geniez d'Olt is 5 minutes away.

Camping Pont d'Avignon lle de la Barthelasse, Avignon, Vaucluse, South of France	Rhone	Nice campsite overlooking the city of Avignon on the other side of the Rhone - no swimming for Sherry.

Camping Municipal les Aires Remuzat, Drome Provencale, South of France	Oule and Aygues - confluence	Municipal campsite, 5 minutes from Remuzat. Shallow rivers great for Sherry. Sherry did not meet any dogs - but a French man from Les Landes had his Bonzi collection with him on holiday.

In 1996 Vultures re-established here - now there are 60 pairs. We loved watching the vultures in the evenings


Camping Carpe Diem Vaison-la-Romaine, Vaucluse, South of France		Ouvèze	Lovely Roman town, 800 metres from campsite - very busy campsite. Monthly Provencal market 2nd Tuesday of the month - wonderful atmosphere. Sherry met many friends here

Camping Beau Rivage Bellerive-sur-Allier, Vichy, Allier, Central France.		Allier	Campsite right beside the fast flowing river - short walk to Vichy - had to keep Sherry on the lead or she would have jumped into the river after the ducks.

Camping Municipal Falaise, Calvados, Normandie, Northern France		Ante	Birthplace of William I the Conqueror, castle on a high crag above the town. Sherry's friend Floss came from Wales.

Camping Municipal Eure et Seine Pont de l'Arche Eure, Normandy		Seine and Eure	Very nice stop. Town 3 minutes away.

Le Coin Tranquille Les Abrets, Dauphiné Alps, Eastern France			Beautifully organised campsite - BBQ evenings are superb. Sherry chased .rabbits in the mornings
Cascade de Glandieu - lovely waterfall nearby - the restaurant across the road from it had a terrace under a wonderful spreading chestnut tree - RESTAURANT DE LA CASCADE


Moulin de Ventre Niozelles, Haute-Provence, South of France		A nice campsite with a lovely swimming pool and restaurant. The river which runs behind the campsite is great for dog swimming. There is a nice dog walk round the lake. Sherry was teased every evening by 2 kittens in the trees round the pitches.

Les Ranchisses Largentiere, Ardeche, Central France		A wonderful campsite in a truly magical setting. We enjoyed this region very much. Sherry met Megan, an adorable little Schnauzer, on holiday in a camper with 2 girls from Nottingham.


Camping Municipal Pont de l'Abbesse Tinteniac, Ile et Vilaine, Brittany		Ile et Rance Canal	Beautiful campsite at the side of the canal - town 3 minutes away including vet! 30 miles from St Malo. Sherry met her friend Pete, a huge whippet dog and they had great fun chasing each other

Camping Municipal Saint Malo Ile et Vilaine Brittany		Sea	Campsite high up on the cliffs overlooking harbour and yachts - fantastic location. Sherry got a friend - Fifi - St Denis Paris

Camping Municipal La Falaise Locmariaquer. W Brittany		Sea	Campsite direct on to the beach near Quiberon and wonderful for trips on the Gulf of Morbihan Sherry met her friend Tarzan from Frankfurt - they went on the same boat-trip together


Catrine House Mauchline Ayrshire			Quiet, scenic site in the heart of "Burns Country" Ayrshire. One of the Caravan Club's Certified Locations. Sherry met Bobo from Norfolk and her lovely family.
