The Beresfords can trace their history to medieval times.

Kitty's great grandfather was Thomas Beresford from Ludgate - he married Ann Blake in 1794

They had 10 children including:-

William Blake Beresford born 1803 whose family went to USA and settled in New Jersey - last contact was with Phillipsburg New Jersey.

George Read Edward Beresford 1815-1857..George was manager Of The Delhi Bank in India. He married Sarah Purdy in 1836. They had 7 children. On 11/05/1857, George, his wife Sarah and children Sarah, Rebecca, Charlotte, Emily & Agnes were all massacred at Delhi during the Indian Mutiny Other children were George William (1844-1915) & Charles Edward (1879-1927)

George William (1844-1915) married
Rhoda Evena McConnell 1849-1924.

They had 5 children:-

Charles Frederick Delaval, William Patrick &
Helen Maud (Kitty)

(Kitty married Samuel Donaldson (Sam) from
Stranorlar Co Donegal in Harlington Middlesex)

Obituary

Mabel Gertrude 1872 - 1924

St George Ross married Muriel Margaret Esdaile in 1904. Son Charles Leslie Tristram (1906-1980) married Audrey Frances Donaldson - they went to New Zealand. Descendants live near Auckland

Les & Audrey Beresford

Charles Frederick Delaval 1879-1927 married Violet Beement 1883-1968 - he was the British Consul in Cherbourg France. They had 3 children:-

John William Delaval 1910-1990 - lived at Castlerock Co Derry
	JWD Beresford Castlerock

George Edwin Deleval 1909 - married Susan Shallies.in 1946 They lived in Johannesburg
Molly 1912 - married Andre Schiesser

William Patrick 1881 - lived in Calcutta
